About Dr. Ripperda

Dr. Christopher Ripperda is a fellowship‑trained specialist in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. He earned his medical degree at Rush Medical College, then completed both his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology and his fellowship in Urogynecology at UT Southwestern / Parkland Hospital in Dallas.

He is board‑certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery — the subspecialty devoted to pelvic floor disorders in women. He serves as Division Director for Urogynecology at Baylor All Saints, is Specialty Faculty for its Obstetrics & Gynecology residency program, and teaches medical students as an Assistant Professor at the TCU Anne Burnett Marion School of Medicine.

Dr. Ripperda's practice covers the full range of pelvic floor care: bladder leakage, overactive bladder, pelvic organ prolapse, recurrent urinary tract infections, accidental bowel leakage, and pelvic pain. He offers everything from conservative, office‑based treatment through advanced reconstructive surgery, including robotic sacrocolpopexy and vaginal native tissue repair — matching the approach to the patient rather than the other way around.

Why Dr. Ripperda chose this work

I chose obstetrics and gynecology in medical school because it struck me as a remarkable way to be part of a woman’s life. Urogynecology is where that became something more specific: I wanted to focus my career on improving women’s quality of life. We take care of a lot of women in the office and in surgery, and that blend lets me do what I enjoy most — talking with people, and working with my hands.

That is what this subspecialty is. A woman comes in with a problem that has been wearing on her, often for years. My job is to find the way to make her life better. That is what brings me joy in this work.

What a first visit is like

Your first appointment is a get‑to‑know‑each‑other conversation. I want to hear what is going on in your life, and what made you decide that now was the time to come in — that answer usually tells me more than anything else does.

By the end of the visit, I want us to be clear on what you are hoping for, and to have a plan for getting there.

Outside the office

I met my wife while I was training in Dallas, and we settled in Fort Worth afterward. She is a Texan — I got here as soon as I could. We are raising our two boys here.

Outside the office I travel when I can, hike, play golf, ride my Peloton, and collect coins and fountain pens.
